I will likely stay on plaquenil a full year — cutting down to 100 in late summer, and then — if all is well — eliminating at the end of October. I had an eye exam on Friday and all still looks good. The complications are rare, but real. The minocycline and plaquenil play well together. Jul 05, 2010 Hi Chris, welcome to this forum. It can also mess with your eyes so you need to get them checked but I haven't run into anyone that's actually had eye problems from it. Thought that might be the case - hadn't seen it in any of his protocols that I find online. I recommend if you're going on Plaquenil to have a baseline test done. It can also mess with your eyes so you need to get them checked but I haven't run into anyone that's actually had eye problems from it.
